Zoroark in the next Super Smash Bros.

I'm calling it.

Evidence: Not only is he turning out to be the star of 5th gen, but he is also getting his own movie. Just. Like. Lucario.

At first, I took a look at Zoroark and thought "Meh, another new-gen-style pokemon with stripes and spikes and such.", but while reading TVTropes.org I learned that he's being called "The next Lucario" by some fans. That totally redeemed him for me. You want to know why? I've always liked Lucario's Anubis-based design, I've always hated Lucario since his spiritual replacement of Mewtwo in SSBB. Zoroark has a very badass warrior-fox like look going for him, but remains relatively simple in design (in comparison, anyway).

You think the new gen stripes and spikes thing is meh, but you love Lucario for his design?

Apart from the obvious contradiction pointed out, I think Abra is right. The question will be whether he replaces Lucario completely or not.

Body design, not pattern design.

It's a werewolf so it's cool. I'm even warming up to Lucario, though I think the movie one is still a rare kind of Lucario.
Z on a team with Houndoom, Lapras, and Dunsparce is going to be awesome.

Taking the Smash Bros. fanbase into account, everyone just wants Mewtwo back so maybe not.

Simply the talk of the next SSB just makes me sit a think for awhile.

I saw this coming as soon as he was revealed. By the way, I think Gen. 1 actually had more random spikes than Gen. 4.

Way more spikes. Didn't Charmander originally have spikes?

wat?

"In the first generation, Charmander's "back" is depicted as having a small line of spikes. The spikes were not shown in the sprites of later generations. Charmander also had these spikes in the Pokémon Adventures manga, the spikes were larger and easier to see. The spikes were also seen on Kai Midorikawa's Charmander from the Pocket Monsters manga. This spike can also be seen on the Green Charmander sprite. "

As a kid, I just assumed Charmander was really skinny so I could see his spine. It made sense at the time.

Also I'd just like to say that I fucking hate Lucario.
