Wow... I live in the central valley of California where Spanish is spoken almost as prevalently as English, yet it wasn't until I read this post now that I realized, "Hey! It's Cinco de Mayo!"

Cinco de Mayo is more a Mexican-American holiday than a Mexican or American holiday. It celebrates the victory of the Mexican national forces against someone-or-other.
