I QUOTE "Alright, my friend living in Japan sent me information from the upcoming CoroCoro Issue that will be released next week...oh, and the text in parentheses is the katakana if you're unable to see it
Grass Starter is Shikakoeda (シカコエダ), and he said it's a Grass-type and is known as the "Young Deer Pokemon". Shikakoeda roughly means "twig deer", but the "ko" likely is also used to denote that it is a child. According to his description, the antlers are little trees and it has a dark-green body and a red nose.
Fire Starter is Kattora (カットラ), and it's a Fire/Dark dual-type and is listed as the "Oni Cat Pokemon". Probably a mix between "katto", which means flare up, as well as sounding like cat, and "tora", meaning tiger. According to him, it's feline-based and looks like a bipedal tiger...me and him suspect it's a "pun" of sorts off the fact that Oni in Japanese myth are usually depicted wearing tiger-cloth and the like. The "fire-part" of its body is a tiny, fiery mane located beneath its ears. Out of all the Pokemon shown, this is my friend's favorite.
Water Starter is Namiruka (ナミルカ), and it's pure-Water and is the "Bottle Nose Pokemon". My friends describes it as looking quite reptilian, but given the fact that its name is Namiruka, a mix between "nami", "wave", and "iruka", "dolphin", and the species name, it is definitely meant to be a dolphin. The magazine mentions that it uses sound-waves apparently.
It shows the player character's Sugimori Art (my friend says they look about the same as all the mock-ups online) and one of the screenshots shows the male player character talking to the female one near a house...her name appears to be Asuka (アスカ).
Professor is shown, and my friend says he looks younger than all the other professors by quite a fair-bit. This seems fitting, as he specializes in Pokemon Eggs according to the magazine. His name is listed as Professor Mizuki (ミズキ), which I believe means "dogwood". The city he lives in is listed as Haguruma (ハグルマ), which means gear...I think it's that one city we saw in Sunday, since it was gear shaped, and it seems you come here to get your starter.
The page with the professor also shows off two new pre-evolutions appearing in Black and White...a Croagunk pre-evo named Hiigure {ヒイグレ), listed as the "Poison Tear Pokemon", and it's a tadpole that looks like it's crying and knows Fake Tears, while the other is a Meowth pre-evo named Nyayen (ニャイェン), listed as the "Pouch Cat Pokemon". It learns Stockpile apparently...my friend states that Nyayen looks kind of like Doraemon, and has a pouch on its stomach where it stores coins, so that's probably why. Apparently it's lacking the infamous head-coin at this stage.
The only other info my friend sent me is, from what he can tell from the portion of the Region's Map shown on one page, the region is named Kouya (コウヤ) which translates into wasteland...however, from what he can see, the region is ironically filled with alot of big cities and there's even what looks like an airport located at the top-right. He thinks that it is based off Tohoku, and that the airport is meant to be the Misawa Air Base while Haguruma City seems to be based off of Akita City.
That's all he sent me, and he'll try to get some cellphone pictures as soon as possible. They aren't allowed to sell the magazine at his work (he works at a Kinokuniya store) until his manager gives him the OK"
I suspect more Hoax because without pics, it didn't happen; but it is related. In any case, who knows if it's true or not, we shall find out soon enough.
