Tell us about your fears, when you were kid, and even now.

I used to be afraid of aliens. I made the rule that my family couldn't say 'aliens' past 7PM, so I didn't go to bed thinking about aliens. On weekends I'd still love watching alien documentaries, though, and I'd go to bed terrified that I'd get abducted.

I also used to be afraid of the Gremlins from the film Gremlins [now one of my favourite films]. One scene shows the Gremlin eggs being under some bed, so I'd always be scared that there were Gremlins under my bed. I would also not allow any part of my body to hang off the edge of the bed, otherwise Gremlins might grab it.
Wow I haven't seen Gremlins in a long time, I'm so watching it after this post. Theme remix w/video to get your nostalgia goin': http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gyMrWIrYFpE

I used to be scared of actually falling asleep for a few months as a kid. I think that was just after my parents explained death as "A person falling asleep forever and never waking up".

Weird that this thread come up now.

A thread at a forum I go to (not a chan) had a thread almost exactly like this a few days ago.

I'm not sure what my fears are.

However, I find, that along with myself, almost everyone can agree with my picture.

Jesus fuck, that looks like something I saw in my nightmares!

Speaking of nightmares, yep, that is one of my biggest fears. To include, when it's 2-5 AM and I'm home alone, any sudden noise I hear around the house I feel like I'm going to get killed.

Oh yeah, heights and huge bugs also creep me out.

If just the look of it creeps you out then you ought to look up the creepypasta backtory on it. You won't sleep for days.

I read the story and I kept thinking about it for weeks at that time. Now it's in my head again. :S

The thought of such a thing is terrifying.

Definitely. You don't play around with dark basements when you're all alone, unless you have to do the laundry. The 'fear run' is a unique run which hasn't been used regularly for millennia.

Seen the image before, but where is said story >>461 ? Now I miss /spooky/ and related boards. Too bad we can't have /tower/ - not enough people seem interested in the paranormal to warrant a board =[ I'll store the idea in my memory banks.

There's a couple versions of the story, but the text version is actually too long to post, so here's the image version (with an alternate smile.jpg image attached).

Spread the word.

The .jpg was painful to look at, so I just searched the story name and read it. It seemed kind of lame? What am I missing - am I supposed to think the stuff described is real?

My reflection in the mirror moving independently from me.

Like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=czXGmIO6prA

Probably a fake, but still creeps me out.

I read the one that was posted in this thread.

However, I have the same sort of question.
"What am I missing - am I supposed to think the stuff described is real?"
The whole story was sort of creepy, but lame at the same time. How do I know it is real? The picture at the end WAS kind of creepy tbh. It kind of got to me. I'm curious about the image's origin.

Google images and photoshop. IIRC, someone on 7chan's /x/ found all of smile.jpg's 'base' images a while back.
