Indeed. It's worth noting that despite what you'd expect from the generic "Zelda" in the title that this mashup makes use of the Great Sea theme from Windwaker rather than the more iconic main theme.

I looked up the guy and this appears to be one of his better tracks. I hesitate to really call any of them mashups though, as the most complex thing he ever does is filter out the vocals from one song and filter out the instrumentation from another, then slap the two together, ignoring any moments of atonality when a little splicing would fix them up nicely. Maybe I expect too much, but G3RSt is a far cry from what I've come to expect from mashups after enjoying the likes of Norwegian Recycling.

Blue Danube isn't really known as a carnival waltz except for it's (satirical) choral arrangement. A piece that is more known for that might be "Across the Ocean" which you can hear quite clearly in this version of the music box house, along with a hint of the flower waltz from the nutcracker suite.

If that's what's up then why not just post all of the Lulz albums and call it a night?

This was the only song I'd heard before. This is a short but brilliant thread, gold star for you.

This is one of those levels you just have to play to appreciate: firstly, there's the music, which I personally didn't fully recognize until about 1:30 which happened to be about the same time it became clear that the level's sprite was Toad.

Oh, and as you're playing (I missed this the first time through) the pieces falling down are actually letters, which spell out the most frustrating of messages for a young NES-era gamer to read after struggling to beat the castle: "THANK YOU MARIO! BUT OUR PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE!"

Dammit, just typing that phrase out made the six-year-old Mario gamer inside me shiver...

And here's where the whole thing comes together in perhaps the most epic four minutes of chiptune you've ever heard.
