They thought about this when they created the games. They're intended to be immortal. In fact, the Game Freak robots will still be running, 200 thousand years in the future, even going so far as to use old and new maps to create new regions [since the earth's top changes all the time]. Their audience? Nobody. That's how dedicated Game Freak robots are.
