That's us at 9 staff now, 6 admins, 3 mods. Welcome Ceol to the team. Also, Zippie has been promoted so she can use more Kusaba features and Tall Hat is back by popular request ie his own.

Now we should start to see some real development here. Already, thanks to Ceol, we've now levelled up to the point where we can add working tabs to this page, see the IRC tab for details.

We still need like $180 in donations after Paypal tax to reach our target. That money isn't going to donate itself. As an incentive, the highest bidder will win a significant chunk of my hair (Yes, head hair, freaks), posted anywhere in the world. Not even kidding

I've not decided how much the hosting and domain will cost together, but here are the basic tiers list for what will happen:

$30 - Delete everything and start again with huge restrictions.
$40 - Everything will continue as it has done with a slight curb on uploads.
$60 - Previous, might be able to negotiate some extra storage.
$80 - Nice big shared hosting package.
$120 - Might be able to negotiate a cheap VPS.
$151 - This is the target, this'll get us 151chan, 151booru, 151irc, whatever I feel like implementing.
$200 - Probably out of reach, previous but faster.
$250 - More than enough, I'll probably be able to keep some for next year
$444 - 4 MORE YEARS.

Apologies for that last hour of downtime. 99.99% my white Scottish arse. Good thing it happened while our main demographic (That's not Finland) was too tucked up in bed or away to school to notice.

It wasn't malicious, it was just the host being incompetent and dishing out a generous serving of unplanned downtime *shrieks of webmasters everywhere*.

Not to worry though, I'm planning to get some more dedicated hosting for next year (As I've said a million times in the past), the only thing holding me back is the cost of it. To get something that would suit our needs would cost $40-60 per month, which would be fine if we had a millionaire sponsor but we don't so suck it up Rossco. I've got my eye on another shared hosting provider, it costs $70 a year, I'm sure we can afford that? When I say "we", I mean mostly you because you'd be lucky if I had $1 in my Paypal. Who made this cheap-dick admin and why is he talking about himself in 3rd person again?

A few people have asked me about the Admin application in my last news post. Well, I wasn't kidding, we are in need of a new administrator. Last time, I gave you a template and picked Cryomancer to be an Admin because of his technical prowess and extensive previous experience and our team of Mods because of their superior community management skills. This time, I'm looking for someone strictly technical who has patience, knowledge in HTML, CSS and PHP at the very minimum, can fix whatever I break and most importantly, I can trust with anything. I wont give you a template to fill out, but if you think this is you, prove it to me at adminsaregods at 151chan.org.

If you own the game Half-Life on Steam, download the Science and Industry mod and you too could have the change of getting fragged by yours truly. Also because it's a fun, dead mod and we need something to do over those warm summer nights.

Lastly, I'd like to thank Sazpaimon of 7chan for fixing the banner script for me and for Kusaba in general. I get the feeling #mods doesn't like me, I'm not surprised though :(.

Since Tall Hat hasn't logged in in over 6 months, I think it's time to recruit a new Admin to the team. Don't email me yet (I've got months of spam to clear up), but now would be a good time to get some technical expertise in, just in case.

I've still got loads of stuff to do with the site. FAQs, the Danbooru request and things to upload to the server since I'mma lazy fatass, but I'll get it all done one day, hopefully. Oh, and the hosting needs to be renewed in the next 4 months, doesn't time fly?

That's about all I've got to say for now I think. I just lost 13 hours of work because of poorly made GBC cheat cartridges. No, that's definitely it.

I try to maintain this news feed as Valve would with the TF2 blog. 1 or 2 months between shitty posts, then all of a sudden, a good one when you're least expecting it. Except, this isn't the good one.

Just thought I'd make a post saying Merry Christmas to everyone who celebrates it (Which is everyone, hurr silly me).

IRC idling activity has increased, while site activity changes daily. I reckon we're good as long as nobody leaves, that would be a shame.

Cheers to Cryomancer for clearing up all the board CSS. All I did was add the R logo and set new defaults, you can thank him for everything else.

Made another backup just in case. Manual backups are the best kind of backups, no?

/beedrill/ contains the most unique users, while /smeargle/ has the most posts. /flute/ is taking up the most disk space, clocking in at just over 1GB.

If you ever need me and I'm not on IRC, I'll be on Steam. Apologies to those who don't have/use it, if it's important, get on IRC to find someone who does have and get them to alert me.

Hello again. Main agenda for this week month is that half the images are missing from the site. I have no idea who or what caused this. If anyone knows, please contact me.

Alternative board is gradually opening, so you can keep your sick fuck alternative content to that board. That includes furry as well, all of it goes in there.

Gradually setting up a dedicated server in my own house for more TF2 funs, but I'll probably go ahead and buy a dedicated server in America since that's where 95% of you guys are.

That's about it really. Working through the TODO list whenever I'm not working, studying, sleeping or playing the vidya, which is about 4 or 5 hours a week, give or take. Hey, we've got 2 other admins, albeit one hasn't logged in in several months.

Anyway, I'll work hard to find out where the images have gone. I was just about to make a backup too. I was checking the recent posts, last thing I do, someone mentioned something on /misty/ about 404s. The last backup I made was months ago, 3/4 of the threads don't even exist anymore. Sad day :(. I was joking about the sick fuck part too, "whatever turns you on" is fine by me.

Oh, almost forgot, keep an eye on the spamlist, 151chan.org/spam.txt. Post anything with any of these words in it and it's a 2 hour ban.

TF2 event soon? I'm really getting back into it, and there's not really a lot of regulars who don't have it. No halos or hats though, you don't want to piss off the server admin ;P.

For those of you who are really slow on the uptake, /b/ has now deceased for reasons mentioned in the stickies. I'll delete the board after I think it's finished serving its purpose.

Sorry I've not been on IRC 24/7, I don't have an IRC client when I'm in Windows, and I'm always rebooting. I'll pop in when I can.

Sorry for the lack of newsposts, there's not really been any noteworthy news.

I just finished updating the spamfilter to include things like tinyurl, lockerz etc, so you should see a lot less of those. If I see one more spampost with the word "lolita" in it, I'm banning that too. Keep a note of the IRC channel in case you trigger it by accident.

I'm not sure whether the activity of the site is going up or down, either way, I kind of like it where it is, though we could do with a few more members. That doesn't mean come in, post once, forget about us. Here's looking at you, army of firstposters.

Head to /silph/ if you feel like contributing in any way to the future of the site. I should be doing this by myself, but I'd rather you had a say in everything too.

Considering OmegaHosts as next years hosting provider. They're a small hosting company that seems to offer a lot of bang for their buck. The "unlimited" package is only $82, which in comparison to others, is practically nothing. If we couldn't raise that, there's always the almost-as-awesome $70 package.

It's becoming harder and harder not to promote MrJoe to moderator. He works tirelessly day and night, deleting spamposts (Srsly, we get spam 24 hours a day, you just don't see it because of his efforts), and on top of that, his radio show is kick ass. Any objections must be made by the end of September.

I really want this chan to become part of chan3s banner exchange program, but I'd need someone to make me an eye-catching 468 x 60 banner (Because, as you know, I'm shit at all forms of art), but before that, I'd like to get the themes fixed up in case they leave a bad impression :3. /msg me if you strongly disagree, but Nataruu is a nice person, chan3 is a nice place, so all we have to worry about is the users we get from it.

I've lost track of all the banners I've not added yet. I'll try and add as many as I can, but if yours isn't here then make a post about it.

The wiki is on hiatus. As I suspected, there really isn't enough we can put on it yet. It's always there if we need it though.

And to those who find it interesting, handmethekeys@151chan.org currently has 3x more spam than admin@151chan.org. Weird, no?

Hello again! I'm only a day late for my weekly updates this time :)

All the banners are up to date, please keep them all to one thread though, easier to keep track of.

Due to popular demand, the /mart/ board has been added! Use it as you like.

The staff can now login via the [Manage] button at the top of each board, there's documentation on how to use any buttons you are unsure about on kusabax.org. I'll add more clear guidelines on the rules soon.

/gio/ seems to be broken through no fault of my own, it's a serverside problem. Also, it's not detecting indexes like index.php so the wiki is broken now. *sigh*. Better luck picking the server next year I guess.

I'm gonna start condensing this news page, it's got far too big. I'll cook something up.

I promise this'll be the last hiring of staff until next year too, which some of you will either be glad or not glad to hear. 7 global staff are more than enough I think, and as most of the emails mentioned, the users are more important than the staff.

Hello again, looks like I'm quite timely this week. Quick update, nothing big.

I'm testing a new off topic random board now. The original intention of /beedrill/ was to facilitate discussion of everything Pokemon that didn't fit into another board. It's become more than that now, and as we are almost certain to have new users (A bit more on that later.) I know some of you are against it, which is why its in trial mode right now. If you really detest it, whine about it in /151chan/, otherwise its permanent. I wont start moving any threads yet, but just so you know, if there's no strong objections, and no good reasons not to, it's gonna happen.

We now have a wiki, ready for you to deface and stuff. If you can do anything on it, you're one step ahead of me. Go on, muck about on it, I can't figure out how to work the damn thing. If anyone is experienced enough to set the VCR, or has a degree in Computer Science III, Please click here.

Nataruu has kindly offered to add us to his (or her?) clever multi-chan directory. It's very spiffy and nice, and I think you should take a look.
I think I've already picked my new legion of staff, but you're more than welcome to send in an entry if you think you're better. I wont hold it against you.

There's been more activity on IRC, but please don't spam. I will get that link fixed in due time, I'm looking into Rizon's embedded qchat now, but for whatever reason, embedding a frame into a frame into a frame is proving to be a little difficult.

But again, thank you for your support so far. Reading those emails made me feel fuzzy and proud and all those other happy cliched things, but glad more than anything. Glad to have stuck with this since day 1. If I had went to sleep early on that fateful saturday when Tall Hat asked me if a group of Pokemon fans could use my home server, probably none of this would have happened. I enjoy the ride as much as you do, and it's all downhill from here.

Back so soo-... It's been a week already? Oops. Just logged in to say that the applications so far have been amazing. You're all great people and I wish to formally shake hands with each and every one of you. (and hugz too :3)

I don't want to turn down a single one of you. Seriously. I would make you all admins if I could, but that might create a power trip of some magnitude. It's going to be hard for me to choose. Honestly. Have you read enough of this speel yet? If you don't get in, Thank you for filling this in, even if you're lying, it shows you've got enough time to care about the 151chan community, and I'll keep an eye out for you in the future :D. I'll have you picked by the 30th, keep an eye on your inboxes. No more entries after that please.

I'm thinking of setting up a small 151chan wiki with a witty name. It might be a bad idea, but I think we've got enough users, info, boards and potential to fill it, even partially. It also means I don't have to write pages of FAQ and rules on the Kusaba system with time consuming XHTML tags, and you can contribute to it too :). And if anyone asks, we thought of it before Taimapedia >:3

I'm also thinking about adding more boards in. I'll add /vidya/ for The Vidya in general (Your favourite Adventure/RPG game still goes in /con/), and I might add /r/, but too many boards split the community up. Keep posting in /151chan/ if you've got any ideas.

Also, the spambots are getting pretty persistant. I'd like to take this oppurtunity to thank our mods, especially Zippie for her quick reactions. I've had to ban an entire subnet and add 3 sites to the spamlist, so remain vigilant.

I am still here, despite not making any posts. I'm not going to lie to you, the only reason you've not seen me as active is because I'mma lazy shit. You wont get away with posting CP/viruses though, I'm always watching. Sure, all I can do is delete it and permaban the IP, but I simply have to press a single button.

With that in mind, I think it's time we had another admin on board. Someone to keep the site running while everyone is away to bed. It would be unfair to charge money for this as I had first planned, you shouldn't need to pay to help, but some people think like that. Hello, I should set a schedule for news posts, shouldn't I? You deserve one :D

First off, it looks like we're stable for a year now. Thanks again for the support during the day or two downtime.

I'm afraid I wont be able to give out VIP tags, or any kind of tags now for that matter. Support for them has been dropped in the latest version of Kusaba, so sorry to Red and anyone else who was looking forward to them.

I'm looking for a way to rename a board without breaking it. I really don't think it's possible, but I'm aware of the spelling mistake with one of the boards ("/tracy/")

I'm glad to see more and more of you idling, and even better, talking on IRC. It's all good fun, I'm putting a Mibbit IRC widget on a tab on the frontpage.

If anyone is receiving a "File not found" or "Access denied" error in /flute/, I'm sorry, this is really beyond my control. I'm not sure why it happens sometimes, but I'm pretty sure it's because we're on shared hosting and streaming music is pretty bandwidth intensive, but I don't know for sure. Just keep refreshing the MP3 and be patient, it'll work eventually.

A huge thank you to all the donation pledges I've received so far. I'm setting up a sort of rewards package system, just to give you more of an incentive ;P. If we grow exponentially and really do need a dedicated server, even low end virtual ones start at $20/month, but I'll make sure we get the best bang for our buck. We're fine our $3-4/month packages for now.

Welcome to the new 151chan! All boards will continue as they left off from the old site, although the boards there are locked and will eventually be deleted, so fukken save anything you can.

The themes are still here, the people are still here, we're running a new version of Kusaba on a new host and we will be at 151chan.org now and forever, so what are you waiting for? Get posting!

Staff will need to come on IRC and PM me their passwords again and anyone who deems thyself cool enough will need to PM me for their tripcodes, but apart from that, it's exactly the same deal as before.

I'm really really sorry for the extra downtime. Some obvious things that didn't come to mind just hit me today. I've never been on paid hosting before, but I really should have been prepared.

I'd also like to make a public apology to Red for not emailing him as soon as I said I would. I'm setting up a donators page and a real Paypal account so we can continue bringing 151chan to you as well as we have done so far.

I have a huuuuge "todo" list. Please don't request anything new until I'm finished fixing old bugs and adding new features.
