There it is 151, Celebi.

Look at it, floating there quietly, some would even say sacred and heavenly like an angel. Yeah, people know about them but how many have actually seen or obtained one? Not many.

This is my proposition to you, the namefags and anon alike of 151chan, to do something great, something amazing. After seeing a thread on 420's that board with the twerps bawwing about the elusiveness and almost impossibility of some event pokemon, I had an epiphany.

I looked on ebay for a Japanese Pokemon Coliseum Bonus Disc which can be used to distribute multiple Celebi. It says that Japanese software is needed or a Japanese Gamecube in order to do this and I am not sure if this includes the cartridge that will be whoring the Celebi but this is info that will be researched later should the project come to a reality.

I propose that, if it is possible to use paypal or some other method or even if some of us would be willing to send to one person, we begin a collection for the Bonus Disc and anyone who would like a legit Celebi can pay a certain fee (I was thinking somewhere between 5 and 10 USD) and any extra money that these Celebi generate can be used for site maintenance and upkeep by Rossco.

I'd love for this to happen so let's hear some ideas!

Doesn't the Colloseum Disc give Jirachi?

The Japanese one gives out Celebi =)

Oh. OH!
Well then that's just super. Would it be a Japanese Celebi, or English? Wait- you can rename it, right? That's so cool!

I wish we could farm Darkrais.

If you really want a Darkrai just get Ranger: SoA..

Oh, you can get it from that?? I didn't know that!
I have one, but I'm too nervous to use him.

nervous to use it?...may I ask why?

In case I want to try to EV train it at any point in time. I know that if I ever made a legendary team, he'd be on it.

So who else is up for this?

Not to kill any vibes, but to sell the Celebis off to English speaking buyers, wouldn't you have to transfer it to a third generation Japanese cartridge, then transfer it to a fourth generation Japanese cartridge, and finally trade it over to an English 4th gen cartridge?

That's quite a bit of work.

It's up on bitgamer now. Haven't gotten it / tested it yet, but it's there.

Bitgamer?

i have an action replay. i can make celebis out of nothingness and have them appear as if they were from any get or country version you want with all IDs flawless. Its not too hard.... try it.

That's fucking stupid. On that board with the twerps there's been giveaways of legit Colosseum Bonus Disc Jirachi for free.

I'm sure if a Japanese person had all that shit they wouldn't mind giving them away for free or trading them for somewhat useful Pokemon.

I have the iso of this, like i said, it was on bitgamer. I've not bothered to test it yet since succeeding at gamecube piracy is tricky (read: it's been so long i forgot how to burn them correctly). If I do ever get it working, i have probably everything else needed, except a japanese cart. I assume this would be region locked.

basically we need to figure out who among us has everything needed:

gamecube, able to play burns
the iso, and then a working burn of it
link cable, japanese cart, GBA

gamecube piracy is sorta tricky stuff too. originally you needed an action replay, a PC, a patch cable, PSO, and a broadband adapter. if you have those things (AR might be version-specific, 1.4 or earlier i think) you could pirate for cube.

PSO method lets you play games without using a disc actually, too. Burning and running discs would require a modchip or GCOS which is a thing you can install on a memory card using the PSO method. I also heard that certain AR MAX PRO somethings could run .dol files from usb and that would make it really simple.

keep in mind that this gamecube piracy info is super old, i did this years ago and haven't kept track of the scene. it is likely possible now to use a modded wii instead, assuming the wii has support for use of link cables (which i would hope it would). modded wii would make it simpler if so.

I'm thinking the Wii Homebrew Channel might be able to load GameCube ISO business. Not sure, though.

yah and use multigame so you could also put 2 other games on the dvdr as to not waste space

If we just use a burned game then it's still a fake Pokemon. Only with a real game can we have a real Celebi. I think Red may agree with me on this.

Also, I have an Action Replay MAX for GC that I could use to region free load a Japanese game with my American GameCube!

Agreed.
Also, my EU Box/Colosseum don't work with my GC Action Replay. It's lame.

I would gladly pay 10 bucks for THE ALMIGHTY CELEBI if you could get some.

If you don't know already, you can mod the GC to play JP games for free.

From what I heard, the details of the distribution is that:

* It needs a complete JP Colosseum save that purified every Pokemon
* You get 48 Celebi, and can get multiple on the same cart if you beat the E4 then try again
* It can go to Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, Firered, Leafgreen, or Colosseum itself

I suppose someone could buy a JP Platinum/HGSS to palpark if they could actually buy the expensive bonus disk.

We could just wait for the inevitable Celebi event with HGSS.
