That's right my friends, here's the new and improved Background thread.

Here's a link to a batch of backgrounds (compiled by me). In it contains each and every Pokemon in a "wispy" or "neon" style, like the one in my post. This is a newer version than the one I posted all those months ago, so to anyone who's curious to what's been added, download away (the one in my post is included in the batch). There's 556 in total, so be happy they're all in one spot.

Once again, I think this place just doesn't feel right without a good sfw Misty thread. Maybe it's just me, but why not?

here we go, mostly the same as the last time, but maybe not in order.

This thread is some of the rarest Sugimori art you'll see (and save) in your life.

Sugimori did custom art for all 151 Pokémon, in this series of cards. Each card features a Pokémon performing one of it's attacks.

Originally learned of the cards from an Pokémon LJ community post. The user posted images (which I have saved) of all the cards. Then I sought the cards on ebay. I emailed the seller of a full set with some questions. They sent me scans of all the cards! Who needs to buy them when you have the images? And they are larger than the LJ user's images. These large ones are the ones I'm posting.
I couldn't get the eBay dude to scan the backs, though =[
So unforunately, this photo set is technically incomplete, but the backs don't feature unique art anyway. Just cool stuff I'd love to see ... and possibly print/cut out as part of a mock-set some day.
