Noctowl, as THAT GOD DAMN BIRD.
No feet as I think it looks okay without them, and every time I tried to draw them they ended up looking horrible.

Will someone explain the appeal of 'Let's Play' in any form?
Why not ... play the game yourself? Maybe even make your own 'Let's Play's.

I read through the Crystal/Fire Red LP's on that. Text LP's are sometimes just as entertaining as any other comic. Even more if it's interactive, and you're in the IRC. If you've got time to burn at work, it's pretty damn entertaining. It's usually SFW, and minus getting a few weird stares, you're jet-set for a relaxing day in the office. Most of them have their own plots, I guess like a fan-fic.

Video LP's are just about the same thing. I've watched a few live streaming ones on Justin.tv, and it's somehow just so fun to sit there and watch someone else play, while you're giving them tips, suggestions, or in general just fucking their game up with bad decisions.

The only downside is watching LP's with really, really nerdy people that probably shouldn't be using a microphone.

I play some of Marriland's LP's in the background while playing my own games at home because it's less distracting than playing music, and for some reason Marriland's voice is just so totally dreamy to me.

It can also be useful for watching games that you couldn't bring yourself to play for whatever reason. Be it that you don't have the console, can't get the game, can't BEAT the game, etc.

IMO Let's Plays work better in video format, like this:

I remember this one. Team LPs are the best, I think.
