Just a heads up, the Wii hacker gods have finally circumvented the 4.3 menu update. Go here for the info:
http://hackmii.com/2010/07/hackmii-installer-v0-7/

If your HBC doesn't auto-update like mine refused to, and you don't wanna read the ReadMe, follow these instructions:
-Download HackMii Installer v0.7
-In your SD card's apps folder, create a folder called "update". Put the HackMii Installer pack's boot.elf in there.
-Open HBC, choose+run that update folder
-"continue"
-"Install The Homebrew Channel"
-When that's done, just choose "exit"

Now you're safe to update to 4.3 - but how, you ask? HBC has a "New title id to circumvent its deletion by System Menu v4.3."
I did all this, and everything's cool as can be. To be safe, I popped out the SD during the 4.3 update.

True, this update is great, but you really shouldn't have updated your Wii in the first place. 4.3 is essentially the same thing as 4.2, which is to say that it didn't do anything to actually improve any functionality, but plenty to screw over users with HBC installed, and even a few that don't. 4.2 bricked a whole slew of legit systems that DIDN'T have any homebrew installed, and hopefully they were less stupid about their anti-HBC measures this time, but there's literally nothing in the 4.3 update worth risking your system over.

That besides, if you have any cIOS installed, you'll have to re-virginize your Wii befor Hackmii will even install or upate anyways. Hackmii has always been staunchly anti-piracy, and so they have blindly categorized anyone using cIOS or backup launchers as pirates, despite the fact that some of these people (like myself and a friend of mine) are using them to work around failed disc drives or other problems. I love HBC, sure, but the Hackmii team ought to get off their damned high horse every now and then...

Previous to updating, I couldn't select and use the game disc channel to play S&P and SMG2 'cause of the update thing. Now I can - now my Wii works like it should.

Okay, so I just heard of this. It seems Nintendo is doing a national tournament featuring several popular wii games, which include:

Wii Sports Resort - Bowling and Basketball
Wii Fit Plus - Hula Hoops
New Super Mario Bros. Wii - Coin Battle (Co-Op)
Mario Kart Wii - Time Trials

Any of you guys decent at any of these games? If so, maybe we should try winning this for 151chan. You can find out about the regional qualifiers at their site, here: http://www.wiigames2010.com/

I would if
-There were different games
-One was closer geographically
They always screw everyone except those near large cities.

I'd give it it a try... if the games they had weren't so fucking gay.

Mario Kart Wii is quite possibly the worst Mario Kart game I've ever played. Also, fuck any game with "Wii" as the first word in its title.

Microsoft's Sidewinder was a copy of Sega Saturn's controller. Sorry, Microsoft is even less original than the others. There was even an analog version of the Saturn's controller which came out in July of 1996.

The PS1 controller is designed the way it is because of how Sony was originally partnered with Nintendo making expansions to the SNES before branching off in its own direction. Seeing little reason to change the new controller design, they decided to leave it the way it was. The Analog and Dualshock versions came out in 1997 and 1998, respectively. While both the analog and the rumble were something that had been done before, the design lived and was successful, as evidenced by the fact that all modern controllers have two analog sticks and a similar button layout to the PlayStation's, especially on the Microsoft 360's front, their older Xbox controler more reminiscent of the DC's with a second analog stick (most certainly explains why a lot of xbox games were DC like or DC ports), where as Nintendo's experiment on the N64 died off relatively quickly (it was seriously painful to hold).

Dualshock 2 had fully analog controls on all buttons, but no one seems to realize that for some reason.

Dualshock 3 is a joke, I hate the triggers.

Wiimote is... just a joke, sorry. Serious games on the Wii use the Classic Controller who's layout is oddly reminiscent of the Dualshock, especially the newer versions of the Classic Controller. I hate Nintendo's consoles outside of handhelds. And it pisses me off that everyone is trying to copy Nintendo in a way this season. Nintendo isn't making anything "new" really outside of the 3DS (which is fucking awesome), Microsoft is copying Sony's EyeToy, Sony is improving EyeToy while copying Nintendo... it's like a circle jerk of crap!

...will still be buying that Zelda ga

Yep.

Originally there was a D-pad, but, they had to change that so as to avoid copyright infringement, hence the weird separate-button d-pad-ish-thing layout. Also ABXY were changed to symbols.

The goal of this game is to destroy similar colored blocks as they fall to the bottom of your screen before your health gauge reaches zero. Right click activates a block, which will active any other blocks it happens to touch afterwords. Left clicking launches a white block straight up from your cursor, activating any block it comes into contact with, which in turn will not activate other blocks. If an active block stays idle for too long it will deactivate and you will loose health. If an active block touches a non-active block, both are destroyed and you will gain health. You'll learn the more advanced block interactions as you play through the game.

Before you run the game, look at the photo.png in the game folder. Continue to check on this throughout your rounds.

There are several endings determined by the highest amount of points you get in a playthrough. Higher scores may also cause the game to put extra things in the game folder including Japanese text documents and pictures.

Really, it's best to just play the game and draw your own conclusions. Don't get too stressed if you suck at first, practice will get you better.

On a rainy day, the boy cut off the rabbit's head using a saw. Splatter. His hands got smeared with blood, fat, and unknown fluids.
The head was severed from the body, placed on the floor. The silent rabbit head seemed to be staring at him.
Getting out of the cage, poured on by rain, the boy brought the body to a certain corner of the schoolyard and hid it in the bushes. He went to clean his hands and the saw, making sure no traces were left.

He woke up. It had been such a long time since he saw that dream.
Uuji saw a dream where a pair of red eyes was saying something. It didn't get off his mind.
The day for the trip came. Uuji confirmed his current feelings. He believed Ageha and Edo were stupid. Ageha for being nice to him. Edo for leading her to him. Now if they were to know the reason why he kept concealing his wrist, how would they react? Would they still be in contact with him? Yes, they would. Stupid fellows.
Hmm, now that he considered it again, it wasn't good to get the two involved in his plan. What was for sure was that Ageha shouldn't have had feelings for him in the first place. No matter how you looked at it, Ageha and Edo were better off together. If things worked out, the four of them might come out fine and dandy.
Now
If.
If Irisu's plan didn't work out, Uuji wanted to challenge something: getting the relationship of the four in the right place. That is, to change the small world they're in. Then Uuji could get rid of his past, and look for another ending.
Off they went for the trip.
Uuji is wondering if this the ending that he wanted, and whether he's satisfied with it.
Early morning, he went to see the rabbit's condition, choosing the time carefully so he wouldn't bother the girl. As he peeked through the cage, he saw that it was dead. As if sleeping. He wondered if it got sick of living. And he wondered what was born through the death of the rabbit, and also of the future. The animal pen now had nothing. The death of the rabbit would not be cared for by an

Whenever you buy Nintendo games/systems (even 3rd party games) there's a registration code on one of the inserts in the case. Register that online with Nintendo to get points on their "club nintendo" website. You can use these points to buy different prizes. If you get a certain amount of points in a single year, you'll get either gold or platinum status and get free stuff like that statue for platinum and a next-year's calendar with exclusive art for gold status. Last year, like I said, was a very high-quality Mario cap for platinum members. I need to remember to buy some overalls before Halloween this year...

Pic related, it's a prize I've bought with my points before. Saving up for the navy blue game-folio next

For those who haven't heard of it, Transformice is a multiplayer Flash game in which you are mice. Your goal is to get the cheese into the hole. One player (or two, on occasion) is elected as the "shaman", whose goal is to help the mice get the cheese into the hole.

Its main notable feature is its total insanity.

You move/jump with WASD (or the arrow keys, if you so choose) and collect the cheese by being near it for a short period of time.

Shamans can summon various objects (boxes, planks, cannonballs of death) using a menu and the left mouse button, and can anchor them to things. (Use the HELP function for more information on anchoring.)

To practice shaman-ing, start your own room; you'll always be the shaman.

Note that mice get points for getting their own cheese in, but shamans get points for getting OTHER mice's cheese in. (And not their own cheese.) If there are two doors, a shaman gets points for mice that go through the door the same color as its name.

Anyways, just play it already.
