Just a heads up, the Wii hacker gods have finally circumvented the 4.3 menu update. Go here for the info:
http://hackmii.com/2010/07/hackmii-installer-v0-7/

If your HBC doesn't auto-update like mine refused to, and you don't wanna read the ReadMe, follow these instructions:
-Download HackMii Installer v0.7
-In your SD card's apps folder, create a folder called "update". Put the HackMii Installer pack's boot.elf in there.
-Open HBC, choose+run that update folder
-"continue"
-"Install The Homebrew Channel"
-When that's done, just choose "exit"

Now you're safe to update to 4.3 - but how, you ask? HBC has a "New title id to circumvent its deletion by System Menu v4.3."
I did all this, and everything's cool as can be. To be safe, I popped out the SD during the 4.3 update.

True, this update is great, but you really shouldn't have updated your Wii in the first place. 4.3 is essentially the same thing as 4.2, which is to say that it didn't do anything to actually improve any functionality, but plenty to screw over users with HBC installed, and even a few that don't. 4.2 bricked a whole slew of legit systems that DIDN'T have any homebrew installed, and hopefully they were less stupid about their anti-HBC measures this time, but there's literally nothing in the 4.3 update worth risking your system over.

That besides, if you have any cIOS installed, you'll have to re-virginize your Wii befor Hackmii will even install or upate anyways. Hackmii has always been staunchly anti-piracy, and so they have blindly categorized anyone using cIOS or backup launchers as pirates, despite the fact that some of these people (like myself and a friend of mine) are using them to work around failed disc drives or other problems. I love HBC, sure, but the Hackmii team ought to get off their damned high horse every now and then...

Previous to updating, I couldn't select and use the game disc channel to play S&P and SMG2 'cause of the update thing. Now I can - now my Wii works like it should.
